Rooted in Compassion. Committed to Saskatoon.
At Forest Grove Veterinary Clinic, caring for pets goes beyond the walls of our hospital. Our team is deeply committed to strengthening the human–animal bond throughout Saskatoon and across Northern Saskatchewan. Through rescue partnerships, outreach clinics, volunteer initiatives, and student mentorship, we are proud to serve both pets and the people who love them.

Supporting Local Animal Rescues & Community Partners
We are honored to partner with incredible organizations that work tirelessly to give every dog and cat a second chance.

Saskatoon SPCA
If you adopt a pet from the Saskatoon SPCA, we are happy to provide their first veterinary exam free of charge at Forest Grove Veterinary Clinic. This visit allows us to meet your new family member, review vaccine status, and ensure they're starting life in their new home healthy and protected.
During the holiday season, we proudly participate in the SPCA's annual Pet Stocking Fundraiser, where 100% of proceeds support animals in need.

New Hope Dog Rescue
We proudly partner with New Hope Dog Rescue to make veterinary care seamless for foster families. If you are fostering through New Hope, simply book your appointment. We coordinate directly to ensure your foster pup receives the care they need, including:
- Vaccinations
- Spay and neuter services
- Wellness exams
- General medical care
We are grateful to support the dedicated fosters who open their homes to dogs in transition.

Community Veterinary Outreach
Community Veterinary Outreach (CVO) works to improve the health of pets belonging to people experiencing homelessness or housing vulnerability, while connecting caregivers with essential human health and social services.
Our involvement helps ensure that financial or housing challenges never become a barrier to compassionate veterinary care.
Dr. Dayle organizes and leads the Community Veterinary Outreach Saskatoon branch, coordinating three pop-up outreach clinics each year. These clinics provide veterinary care to pets of vulnerably housed individuals while also creating opportunities for caregivers to connect with social supports.
Veterinary Outreach & Volunteer Work
Giving back is at the heart of our clinic culture. Many of our doctors and team members actively volunteer their time and expertise throughout Saskatchewan and beyond.

Northern Engagement & Community Outreach (NECO) Clinics
Dr. Allison and Dr. Dayle travel north to participate in NECO vaccine, spay, and neuter clinics serving communities such as:
- La Ronge
- Île-à-la-Crosse
These initiatives expand access to preventative care and help manage pet populations in remote regions of Saskatchewan.
Canadian Animal Assistance Team (CAAT) – Old Crow, Yukon
Dr. Allison volunteered in Old Crow with the Canadian Animal Assistance Team, partnering alongside Community Veterinary Outreach Whitehorse.
This remote northern clinic provided vaccines, spay and neuter services, and wellness care. Old Crow is especially meaningful to Dr. Allison, as it is the homeland of her Vuntut Gwitchin roots and accessible only by plane.

Canadian Challenge
Each February, Dr. Allison volunteers as a supporting veterinarian for this 200-mile international dog sled race held near La Ronge. Supporting canine athletes in such a demanding event highlights our team's dedication to working dogs and northern communities alike.

Supporting the Next Generation of Veterinary Professionals
We believe strongly in mentorship and hands-on learning.
Saskatchewan Polytechnic
We host 1–2 Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) students each year as part of their clinical training rotations.
Western College of Veterinary Medicine
Veterinary students from WCVM join our clinic for 2–4 week externships, gaining practical experience in companion animal medicine.
Many of our outreach initiatives also include student volunteers, helping shape the next generation of compassionate veterinarians.
Our Commitment to Low-Stress, Progressive Care
At Forest Grove Veterinary Clinic, we are proud to practice low-stress handling techniques to make veterinary visits calmer and more positive for pets. Our true passion is from caring for your pets like our own - and this starts with making the best clinic experience for your pet!
- Our clinic is low-stress handling silver certified
- Lynnsey has her Fear Free Certified Professional Elite Designation as well as graduating from Canine Aggression Masterclass 2022
- Dr. Frei is certified in veterinary acupuncture

By combining community involvement with modern, compassionate medicine, we strive to make a meaningful difference one pet, one family, and one neighborhood at a time.
